  1. Loving the film themes! Have you done the Back to the Future theme? If not I think you should get right on it.

I like how Castamind has come of age now. There’s a good balance between fairness to the listener who may be playing along and cruelty to each other from the unique situation that the question master is also the contestant’s rival. Keep it up.

It’s a pity this week’s films were worthless, pointless or plotless respectively. Here’s hoping next week’s films get me enthused enough to brave the cold and walk the 10 minutes to my local multiplex.

  2. ALSO,

I know it’s too late but I’d like to chip in with a few anti-dedications.

Firstly, anyone who won’t watch a film because it’s subtitled and the idea that anyone who does is in the minority. I don’t see why being adamant that you can’t or are unwilling to read makes you superior.

Secondly, US remakes of popular subtitled films. Come on! You may have even anti-dedicated this before but The Girl remakes have me annoyed. Even though I’m a big Fincher fan, the whole idea of it seems wrong. Why is it Americans can’t relate to a “movie” if it doesn’t have pretty American people in it? Doesn’t that say that something is severely stunted in American culture? Casting Rooney Mara as Lisbeth Sander is typical bad casting. Does she look like someone who can make me believe she has been mentally traumatised and abused? No. Does Noomi Rapace? Yes.

And because I realise I am now someone ranting on the internet about things out of his control, I’ll suggest a dedication as well.

Christopher Lloyd. Maybe he’s a listener and knowing he is beloved by such fine podcasters will spur him to appear in more films.

  3. Dan says:

Just wanted to say good job on the audio quality guys. Not that it was horrific before, but it’s certainly better now.

Don’t worry Dan, it was horrific…we’ve always yearned for it to improve and we’re really proud of where its at now. Glad you’re enjoying it.
